Newt Howard's History of Ambler
Newton (Newt) Howard was a lifelong resident and keeper of Ambler folklore and history. For many years he operated the Howard Camera and Art Center on Butler Avenue in the heart of Ambler. He spent his years dealing with the people of Ambler and the surrounding communities at Lower Gwynedd, Upper Dublin and Whitpain Townships. Newt has amassed a treasure trove of fascinating history and stories. Many of these stories were originally published in the Enterprise newspaper. Take some time reading these wonderful stories. After you read them, you too will be proud to associate yourself with your hometown, called Ambler.
