Here is your August issue of The Valley Crier–and it is time to start marking your calendar for our September activities:
 
  • First, please order your tickets now for the WVHS 50th Anniversary Celebration.  Mail a check on pay online.  Details inside–(Sunday September 14, 1-3 PM at the Wm. Penn Inn).
  • Then, have fun at a “Dine and Donate” at Tannery Run Brew Works. 10% of the proceeds go to WVHS.  Eat, Drink, and Donate at the same time–(Thursday September 25, 4-10 PM).
  • Finally, circle this date to see the work being done at the Franklinville School’s Open House–(Sunday September 28, 1-3 PM).
Also, in this issue, find other history tales:  Missing 1913 Commonwealth history plaques were recently found at Whitpain Township.  Abe Lincoln’s son’s life was saved by John Wilkes Booth’s brother…and more!
